Dezry Kay (Khoshigadi Desiree Kekana) magic raised Love to Live to another level with her absorbing performances at Love to Live 2017. The celebrity popularly known as Limpopo hop queen, singer, dancer and actress and her team fully embraced the campaign and took Love to Live to greater heights. Due to their enthusiastic support via social media, posts from the event
once again went viral resulting in the Love to Live message being spread far and wide. Dezry Kay’s graciousness, humility and eagerness to do more for the community blends well into the Love to Live theme of “Umuntu Ngamuntu Ngabantu” which according to Nelson Mandela means “You must serve your fellow man”.
Dezry Kay and her team made Love to Live history when they became the first celebrity group to participate in the Love to Live walk Sunday. They took it a little further and uncomplainingly
held the banner “Let us Love one another and live side by side” throughout the 5 km walk and demonstrated beyond any doubt “UMUNTU NGAMUNTU NGABANTU” – We are who we are
because of others.
Heartfelt thanks to all principals and educators of participating schools who must be complimented for encouraging active participation from pupils and staff. Well done! Sincere thanks to special guests Dr Raj Govender, Senior Manager Department of Arts and Culture and Nemeshni Moodley (Mrs India/South Africa finalist) for dynamic presentations and impressing the youth with several crucial important messages.
