Racism Must Fall

The highlight of the Love to Live weekend that was held at the Protea Sports Centre from 13thto 15th May was the presence of Maritsa Gouws, Mrs South Africa Top 25 Finalist. She endorsed
the campaign fully and took the campaign to greater heights due to her enthusiastic support via social media. This resulted in Love to Live reaching its goal of becoming a household name in Pietermaritzburg.

Saturday morning saw the Love to Live motorcade bring the City Centre and the Raisethorpe CBD to a virtual standstill due to the majestic performance by Berg Street Primary drum majorettes.

Silver Heights Secondary School were duly rewarded for submitting the most number of entries for the educational aspect of the campaign with more than 150 children participating in the talent contest. The Love to Live fun run raised up to R500, 000 which were distributed to participating schools at an awards function on Wednesday, 22nd June at the Eddels Sports Club.

Heartfelt thanks to all principals and educators of participating schools who must be handsomely complimented for encouraging active participation from pupils and staff. Well done!
