Women - Pillars of Society

Backing and support from the government and private enterprise Sukuma Sakhe social ills campaign helped make Love to Live 2013 an overwhelming success. The presence of the provincial SAPS Royal Show award winning display stand truly enhanced the weekend events. Thousands of people flocked to the Protea Sports Centre from the 2nd to 4th August showing that the Love To Live campaign unquestionably touched the hearts of many spectators, participants and dignitaries. Entertainment was at its best and the items entered by learners were of a high standard. The theme of the event “Women: Pillars of Society” was
clearly depicted in the outstanding learner essays, posters and sketches. The sari queen contest and fashion contest staged by Bhika’s School of Fashion was amazing.

The annual Love to Live fun run which was dedicated to local stalwart, the late Babujee Dasarath Bundhoo was as peaceful and popular as the great man himself.
