Love to Live 2001

Love to Live was launched at an inaugural fun run at Harry Gwala Stadium on 25th February 2001. The main focus of this event was to create awareness about mental health issues. The event was a partnership between Community Chest and Famcare Therapy Centre. The Love to Live campaign for 2001 scheduled to take place in October 2001 at Raisethorpe Secondary School was cancelled due to rain. The focus of this event was suicide prevention due to the escalation of suicide amongst teenagers in the Northern areas. Although the weekend event was cancelled, the campaign did make an impact in terms of creating awareness on suicide prevention.
